Director of emerging strategies
Negeen Darani is the Director of Emerging Strategies for the 11th Hour Project / Schmidt Family Foundation where she focuses on strategic initiatives across a series of priority program areas, results measurement and learning. She also oversees the communications team, with a particular interest in the power of storytelling. Negeen brings over 20 years of experience working in the areas of strategy, environmental policy, investment banking, organizational change, economic modeling, and, more recently, philanthropic research and advising. Negeen was previously the Executive Director of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI), where she led the creation of the first-ever humanitarian academy dedicated to strengthening frontline organizations’ ability to bring protection and resilience-building to vulnerable communities in crisis.
Negeen received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley and her Masters of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
