Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
We believe that diversity brings about greater sustainability on all levels and aims to use its resources to generate greater social and environmental diversity through its grant-making and other related investments.
We are committed to integrating racial equity and social justice throughout all of our philanthropic efforts, embedding a justice and equity lens in our grantmaking. We also work hard to enhance the capacities of grantees to create a more inclusive environmental movement. You can read more about these efforts here.
11th Hour Project is working with DataKind to help leverage data science for social good. With Datakind, mission-driven organizations can analyze their existing data streams to improve on internal operations or serve a larger community. Pro bono data scientists volunteer their time and experience to help scale the environmental and social work already being accomplished, whether by automation, machine learning, or other types of data technology.
