The 11th Hour Project is a working program of The Schmidt Family Foundation. Our mission is to promote a fuller understanding of the impact of human activity within the web of interdependent living systems. We connect organizations with good information on how to develop a more responsible relationship with the world’s water, energy and food resources.
To realize this mission, we focus our grantmaking in the areas of climate change/renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and environmental health. Currently, we primarily support projects and organizations that focus their efforts domestically.
Please note, all of the Foundation's grantmaking is now done on a strictly invitational basis. We proactively seek new partnerships based on our program area strategies.
We will also will no longer review proposals received either in the mail or to our email inbox.
