The Lexicon of Sustainability is based on a simple principle: people can’t be expected to live more sustainable lives if they don’t know the most basic terms and principles that define sustainability.

The Lexicon of Sustainability has spent the last four years working with almost 200 thought leaders in sustainable food and agriculture, water and energy across the world. Their work consists of short films, large format information artworks, activity guides for schools, public lectures, and a website.

To distribute their information artworks they decided to let communities across the USA host their own "pop up" shows. Consolidated Graphics has printed thousands of images to support this phase of the project.  Farmers, students, teachers, librarians and activists from across the country can now apply to be curators and host their own shows.  Where are these shows being held? Schools. Libraries. Conferences. Grocery Stories. Farmers Markets. Farms. Conferences. Wherever people gather to talk about fixing our food system.

The 11th Hour Project funded the building of frames for underserved communities to support and show these information artworks thus increasing the life and reach of their message.
