Climate Central is an independent organization of leading scientists and journalists researching and reporting the facts about our changing climate and its impact on the American public.

Climate Central surveys and conducts scientific research on climate change and informs the public of key findings. Climate Central’s independent research is designed to engage the public and illuminate the scientific facts of climate, using pioneering analysis and data visualization techniques. Scientists at Climate Central publish peer-reviewed research on climate science, energy, impacts such as sea level rise, climate attribution and more. They investigate and synthesize weather and climate data and science to equip local communities and media with the tools they need to visualize the threat of climate change and the need for practical solutions.

Climate Central reaches the public through digital, print, and broadcast journalism at the national and local levels.
