The BlueGreen Alliance unites 14 of our country’s largest unions and environmental organizations — and their 15 million members and supporters — to conduct grassroots education programs promoting a nationwide transition to a clean economy.

Programs focus on strategies that solve big environmental problems while simultaneously increasing the number and quality of jobs in green industries. Focus areas include renewable energy, energy efficiency, green chemistry, advanced vehicle technology, domestic manufacturing, high-speed Internet, smart grid, water infrastructure, and recycling.

Within the coordinated AB 32 defense effort, the BlueGreen Alliance is promoting the Global Warming Solutions Act as a policy that not only grows the clean energy economy in California, but that also creates and sustains quality, middle class jobs in the process. Through many years of clean energy advocacy in California and nationally, the BlueGreen Alliance has focuses on bringing the voice of workers, their unions and their employers to the discussion of how America can create and sustain good jobs by protecting our environment.
